Aftermath Analysis Projects

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you…

Rudyard Kipling, If, 1895

Get help when scrutiny is intense.

You’re here because something bad happened, and you think you need help in your role as a senior leader. You’re in the center of the cyclone — the event is mostly over, but the reverberations are continuing. We call this period the aftermath.

We know what it’s like. We have helped others and we may be able to help you.

In addition to dealing with the damage already done, you are probably under pressure to produce a thorough analysis of the event in a ridiculously short period of time. The analysis needs to sufficiently characterize the incident’s origins and evolution in order to guide the company’s response, to identify and make explicit critical insights, and to reinforce or restore confidence in both the workforce and leadership.  We have done this work, sometimes under even the most adverse conditions.

You manage the crisis. We reduce the burden.

We do incident reconstruction and analysis, post-mortem facilitation, and internal results presentations. We collaborate with those directly involved in the event and the response. We help you restore confidence by providing a grounded, detailed, neutral-observer review of the incident.

The work we do allows you to do better crisis management and, as the crisis wanes, to recover, redirect, and resume. We can help you understand, in detail, what has happened and what it means. This can help direct the incident energy into productive — rather than destructive — channels.

Act quickly.

If an incident is happening now, pay attention to the incident!

If you are in the aftermath, talk to one of the ACL principals about the situation, the need, how we can help, how long it takes to get started, how long it takes to get done, and what it may cost. An initial one-on-one via a short and confidential call can be arranged quickly, often within the current business day.
